What we keep, and why.

Who we are

Central Health Magazine is published by Central Health Magazine, based in Texas, United States. We are responsible for the personal information described here. Contact us at info@centralhealthmag.com.

What we collect

  • Your email address, when you create an account or join the Sunday Letter.
  • Which articles you open, so we can show your reading history and award faith badges.
  • Your daily habits, such as the briefing, crossword and breathwork, so we can keep your streak.
  • Articles you save, and your email preferences.

The magazine is free, so we don’t take any payment details. If we introduce paid memberships, card details will go straight to our payment processor and we will update this policy first.

How we use it

  • To sign you in with a one time email link.
  • To save your reading history, streak, badges and saved articles across your devices.
  • To send the Sunday Letter and any alerts you have switched on.
  • To send important notices about your account.

Cookies

We only use cookies the site needs to work:

  • A sign in cookie that keeps you signed in on this device for up to 30 days.
  • A reading history cookie listing the last five articles you opened.
  • A small cookie remembering that you have seen our cookie notice.

The crossword remembers your progress for the day in your own browser. There are no advertising, analytics or social media cookies.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of services to run the magazine: Hostinger hosts the website, and Neon stores our database and sends sign in emails. Each one processes data only on our instructions.

Where it is stored

Your information is stored on servers in the United States. If you read the magazine from another country, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, with safeguards our providers offer for international transfers.

We don't sell your data

We do not sell your personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or use it to build advertising profiles. We only share it with the providers named above, or when the law requires us to.

Keeping it safe

The site uses encrypted connections, sign in links instead of passwords, and access controls on our database. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your information we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

The magazine is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account while it is active. If you close it, we delete your reading history, habits and preferences within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it at any time, and you can unsubscribe from any email in one click. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights:

  • In Texas and other US states with privacy laws, you can confirm whether we process your data, get a copy, correct it, delete it and opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising (we do neither). If we turn down a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer.
  • In the UK and European Union, you can also object to or restrict how we use your data, ask to move it to another service, and complain to your local data protection authority. We use your data to provide the service you signed up for, and for our legitimate interest in running and improving the magazine.

Write to info@centralhealthmag.com and we will reply within 30 days. We will never treat you differently for using these rights.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell readers by email before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always shows the latest version.
